Biography

Graduated from the Economics Faculty of the Belarusian State Academy of Communications majoring in «Marketing» (1998), finished postgraduate study at the Institute of Economics of the National Academy of Science of Belarus, majoring in «The Global Economy» (2001).

In 2002, he completed practical training at the National Bank of Belarus and an internship in CASE (Warsaw).

In 2002 he defended his thesis on “Formation of a currency mechanism in the Republic of Belarus”.

He worked as a research assistant in the Institute of Economics of the Republic of Belarus (2002-2003), at the Institute of Economics of the National Academy of Science of Belarus (2006-2010), the Bureau of Economic Research (2008-2010), CASE Belarus (2013-2017).

Since 2010, he teaches economic disciplines at the Belarusian State Economic University (BSEU).

Since 2017 – senior researcher for the Macroeconomic Research Center.

Sphere of research interests

Macroeconomic diagnostics; macroeconomic modeling and forecasting.

Leonid Zlotnikov

Biography

Graduated from the Economic faculty of Moscow state University (MSU) majoring in « Economic cybernetics» (1968), finished postgraduate study at the Research Institute of Telecommunications (1976). In 1994 passed internship at CASE (Warsaw).

Worked as a research fellow at the Research Institute of the State Planning Commission of the BSSR (1968-1981), at the Institute of Economics of Academy of Science of the BSSR (1981-1989).

Worked as an economic advisor for the International Finance Corporation (1999-2001).

He taught economics at the Academy of Management under the President of the Republic of Belarus (2005-2007).

Sphere of research interests

Planning and forecasting of development of economic systems by using methods of mathematical modeling; problems of transformation of the command economy into a market one.

Biography

Graduated from the faculty of management of the Belarusian State Economic University (BSEU) with a degree in Public Administration (2007), the Bachelor’s degree in BSEU (2008) and the BSEU postgraduate course (2011), specializing in Economics and National Economy Management.

In 2016 she defended her thesis on the topic “Competitiveness of the regions of the Republic of Belarus: assessment methodology and directions of improving”.

Since 2009 teaches economic disciplines in BSEU.

Since 2017 – senior researcher for the Macroeconomic Research Center.

Sphere of research interests

Competitiveness and innovative attractiveness of the economy; regional and urban economy; territorial planning; public administration and local government; regional financial system.
